“I always dreamed of a big Indian wedding, so I wanted to go all out in terms of embracing Indian traditions and culture. We had 5 main events over 4 days and I wanted each event to have a unique point of view. From the moment I was able to bring Anabela Chan on to Olivela, I knew that I would want to wear this brand for a big life moment. As soon as I began planning my looks, I immediately started to work with their team to put together sets that would pair perfectly to the outfits I had made in India.”
The Sangeet
Family and friends come together for a night of dancing and even perform choreographed dances on stage. It was beautiful to see my friends immerse themselves in Indian culture. Our theme was "A Walk in the Clouds," and our dress code was glam and glitter—making it a perfect moment to shine in Anabela Chan jewelry and a sparkly dress.

The Mehndhi
This is traditionally where all the girls get Mehdhi (Henna) to celebrate the bride. We went with a carnival theme and had an array of bright colors and stalls with different vendors—everything from a coconut stall to one making handmade bangles. I styled a multicolor Lehengha with pink and green jewelry from Anabela Chan and my Pucci glasses.

Adya’s wedding jewelry tips
Jewelry is personal, so my main advice is to trust your gut and your immediate reaction to a piece. Remember that mostly everything can be customized to get exactly what you want—because you should have that for your special day! I also think it is so important to pick out pieces that can be worn forever, for different types of events. I have already re-worn pieces for occasions like my birthday and a night out.
